What is an Encroachment Permit?

A contract between the District and the permit holder (permittee) explaining the terms and conditions under which the permittee is granted the permissive authority to perform one or more of the following:

  • Connect to District facilities
  • Enter in District owned property, easements, or the public right-of-way
  • To perform work upon, above and over, or along said property or easements and District facilities.
  • The permit will allow for proper issuance of any special conditions, if applicable, and for proper inspection by District personnel of the described and permitted work
