Calling all student artists... It’s time to put your creative talents to use and participate in the 2015 Water Awareness poster, slogan, photography and digital arts contests.
Presented by SMWD, Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and the family of Orange County water agencies, the contest encourages students throughout Orange County to think about one of our most precious natural resources — water — and the many ways in which clean drinking water improves our daily lives. The 2015 contest theme is “Every Drop Counts.” For example, “Why is water vital to our way of life?” or “How can you help save water during a drought?”
The deadline to enter is April 6, 2015. Through the judging process, 20 Poster & Slogan Contest winners and 10 Photography & Digital Arts Contest winners will be selected to attend a special Awards Ceremony at Discovery Science Center.
The grand prize winner in grades K-2 will also receive a Nintendo DS; two grand prize winner in grades 6-12 will also receive an iPad Mini! In addition, eight teachers whose students participated in the Contests will be randomly selected to win a $100 gift card for teaching supplies.
